About Counselling

“In my early professional years I was asking the question: How can I treat, or cure, or change this person? Now I would phrase the question in this way: How can I provide a relationship which this person may use for his own personal growth?”
Carl R. Rogers

Psychotherapy, or talk therapy, is a way to help people with a broad variety of personal concerns, personal growth and emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy can help eliminate or control troubling symptoms so a person can function better and can increase well-being and healing.

Counselling can help you if you are struggling with personal issues including personal isolation, intimate relationships, breakups, friendships, spirituality, difficulty interacting with colleagues, major life decisions, social phobias, sexuality, gender, depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, addictions and much more.

Making a decision to seek counselling and to act on it is a very positive step. Check out the ‘About Liam’ page to learn more on how I work as a therpist.
