INTRODUCTION: There are times when the challenges of life can make us feel overwhelmed and isolated, and it may feel difficult to talk about how we feel to those who are closest to us. We go through transitions and crises and experience uncertainty and loss. How we deal with difficulties in life is an important aspect in how we carry on forwards and ultimately who we become as people.

Through the process of exploration and self-inquiry, we enable self-knowledge and self-awareness to help you grow and conquer issues that may previously have been experienced as all-consuming or overwhelming. We will not only look at your problems in the present but also identify the roots of these problems from your past. We will explore how your past experiences may have affected the way you live today and operate within your life in the present and when you become aware and understand this, it is possible for change to take place.

Therapy can help you to develop ways of coping better and overcoming issues you may feel are holding you back. We can help you find and develop your personal strengths and identify what is really meaningful to you in life, moving towards the kind of life you would like to live.

SELF-INQUIRY

The Process of Exploration

Untitled design.jpg

We have come to know ourselves in a particular way often based on the environment we grew and developed in, our families, friendships, peers, and society and culture in general have influenced who we have become. We have been looking out at others and the world to seek definition of who we are. The process of looking outwards for self- definition can be very much misleading and the self-beliefs we create as a result are often the cause of our pain.

The process of self inquiry is turning back to our own experience to know ourselves directly and in the moment, rather than relying on our ideas of how to be. Though self-inquiry we have an opportunity to meet. engage and explore the self-beliefs we have taken for granted and unfold into the possibility of a deeper truth of who we are. Self-inquiry is simply looking into one’s present moment experience in an open, curious and non-judgemental manner. My style of therapy facilitates this inquiry into the deeper healing truths, awareness and self-love.
